No doubt the kids are cute in the first commercial, but if you were walking by the television and not paying much attention, you’d probably thinking that was an ad for a new kids’ show. The question it evokes is this: In these times, when millions of Americans have lost their jobs, and many are seriously depressed and looking for REAL hope, is ‘cute’ really the way to go? And the other question is, where are the puppets and balloons? The second ad is empowering and inspirational, particularly with its video of citizen activism from London, Greece, Egypt, Wisconsin, and now, Ohio.
