Despite Warren Buffet’s plea to tax him more and others who hold similar mass fortunes, the drumbeat of the uber greedy “woe is me” continues via the now infamous Koch Brothers.
Charles Koch inherited his mass fortune from his family business which started amassing its wealth working for Josef Stalin’s regime of terror. Warren Buffet earned his own money. Charles Koch, along with his brother David, have invested a good chunk of their inheritance on “non-profit” groups that promote no taxes for the uber wealthy and are the major backers of the rabid tea party movement that has convinced some average middle-income-or-less Americans that they should shill for the rights of extremely wealthy not to pay their fair share as Americans. Warren Buffet has decided to give the bulk of his self-made fortune to causes that help those truly in need, while his children will receive a smaller inheritance. The contrasts are incredible. So is Charles Koch’s response to Warren Buffet’s call for the wealthy to pay their fair share.
